ICT Semester 1 Summary
Term 1
During weeks 2 and 3 in Term 1, we have been learning about cyber safety, and one of the ways we have been learning about it is we have been making a Kahoot about it or a blog about it.
In week 4, we have been using a tool called "Word", which is something like Google Docs and one of the features we used in "Word" was copy/paste, spellcheck, heading, and Search/Replace.
During weeks 5-6, we have been learning how to manage our files, move between files and folders, and we have also been learning how to use symbols to replace words.
In weeks 7-11, we have been also using a feature in "Word" called "Drawing", which is similar to google drawings, and we have been using this feature to recreate posters and make basic designs.
Term 2
In Week 1-3, we have been learning how to create and use Tables, Diagrams, Texts boxes, and Columns in "Word".
In Week 4 and 5 we have been using and learning a new app called "Publisher". It is similar to google slide and we have been using it to make calendars and Greeting Cards.
In Week 6-8, we have been learning in an app called "Exel". It is similar to google sheets and one of the features we used in it was the auto sum and graphs.
"Word"
Personally, "Word" was my favorite out of all of them, it was easy to use since most of the features were like google docs, it was easy to insert images and "Drawing" was my most favorite feature in "Word".
"Publisher"
"Publisher" was a great app, I liked making calendars and inserting images in it, I also like editing the images and for me, Publisher is highly recommended to be used for presentation.
"Excel"
"Exel" was fun to use, it was satisfying to use auto sum and make charts, and despite the fact I don't really know how to use this app, "Exel" and its tools eventually grew on me as I kept using it.
ICT Term 1&2
I think that ICT was fun, I loved learning new apps and learning its tools and features, my favorite part of ICT is that they also allow us to do some typing lessons as the first 10 minutes, I also loved working with my friends as I was in ICT.
