My Investigation of Climate Change (Trees)

Climate Change (Trees)

DEFINITION:

What are trees used for?
1. To let us breathe
2. To make objects
3. Absorbing Carbon dioxide

HOW DOES DEFORESTATION AFFECT THE CLIMATE?

It ruins the environment by not absorbing the carbon Dioxide and rain to make a flood. It will also have no air or oxygen which will make people and animals not breathing.

(Drama Lessons)
By Jaren, Isaiah

Hello Viewers.
Recently during our drama lessons, we were writing haiku poems.
Haiku poems is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world, a poem in English written in the form of a haiku. We were making into two buddings in the session, each of us was making a haiku poem about spring.

My Haiku Poem

River, water, flowers, rain in every spring, it shines so bright and pretty every day, it shines the nature, flowers, rivers, trees every day with his brightful smile, it leaves the nature with a burning smile.

My Buddy's Haiku Poem

Hello.
During my reading, I and my group were split into groups of 2. We were making some questions for our buddy to ask each other and answering them from what we have read. The reason why we needed to make questions for what we read is to make sure that you understand what your reading.

Here are some of the few questions my teacher had:
1.Main Character: Tama

2.Setting: Kauri Island

3.Problem: Pig ran away

4.Solution: Pig ran back home

Here is the image of the example and reasons for the topic:

2040

2040
By Jaren

Hello viewers.
Today I'm going to talk to you about a interesting, life lesson movie. It's about what's going to happen to the earth in 2040, it's also about the environment with the help of a kind man named Damon who wanted to change the world, environment to make it a better place.

2 Things I've learned:
1. You cannot grow a garden if your soil is too dry.

2. The seaweed in the ocean gets deeper as it grows.

Heres the Trailer of 2040:

Drama Puppets Part 2

Drama Puppets Part 2
By Jaren

What We Did:
During a few days in my drama group after finishing making our puppets, we were made into groups of four and made some scrips of roleplay with our puppets of healthy food.

How I Act During Work:
I acted responsibly when no one was watching me as me and my friends working and finishing our scripted.

Explaining 3 ways you can eat healthily:
Eat lots of vegetables because they give you vitamins and fibre. Have vegetables at every meal and for snacks. Tomato on toast for breakfast, carrot sticks with hummus, pumpkin soup.

Example:
Heres a recipe of how to make mushroom soup:
Ingredients:
  • 1.75g butter
  • 2. 2 brown onions, diced
  • 3. 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4. 2 tablespoons lemon thyme, finely chopped
  • 5. 750g portobello mushrooms, diced
  • 6. 5 cups vegetable stock
  • 150ml cream

  1. Melt half of butter in large pot, cook onion for 5 mins. Add garlic and thyme and cook for another five mins until onion is soft.
  2. Add remaining half of butter along with mushrooms. Cook for 5 mins.
  3. Add stock to pot and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer with lid on for 20 mins.
  4. Let soup cool for 10 mins.
  5. Ladel soup into blender and blend until smooth - you will have to do this in batches.
  6. Clean pot and return soup to pot on low heat. Stir in cream and warm until heated through. Serve

DLO Maths

DLO MATHS
By Jaren

Hello
From the past few weeks, I and my maths group were using graphs, tables and rules to describe the relationship in patterns.
This is the image of the activities I did

How did I work it out:
How I worked it out is to multiply the number of the size by three then plus one to find the answer. An example I am working out how much lights does tree size 5 has. All I have to do is to time 5 by 3 then plus 1 equal sixteen.

Thanks for reading my blog and please comment down below if there are some mistakes I made.
