ESOL Term 3 2021

 ESOL Term 3 2021

What was the best lesson and why?

One of my favorite lessons I have done during this term was reading all kinds of different novels in ESOL because I really like diving into something new and interesting and what I don't really know about.

What did you enjoy doing and why?

One of the things I really enjoyed in ESOL was doing Kahoot and doing writing because I really liked how silent it gets especially during vocabulary listening.

What was one task you were proud of and why?

One of the tasks I am proud of doing is the task where you answer questions about the book you were reading because it makes you summarise and makes you go back on what you have learned.

What is something you could do differently / better next term?

What I would do differently next term is I would work somewhere elsewhere it is not distracting because there were some times where I get distracted from others.

Anything you wish to share about this term?

Term 3 was really short and okay and I really enjoyed working and learning something new, along with my friends during this Term.

 Abomination (Harmful Effects on Bulling)

During Hurumanu 1&2, we have been writing about the character in the book and what sorts of effects bullying gave them.

New Zealand Moari Land March

 New Zealand Maori Land March

During Hurumanu 1 and 2 in Social Studies, we have been learning about the New Zealand Maori March and we have been mapping the locations they visited as they were travelling around New Zealand. What worked well for me during the work was mapping the locations, what was a little difficult and challenging for me to do was doing a screenshot of the map due to how large the map was, and what I may do next time when I do this is I may do this in Google Maps instead of Google Earth.

Ways to Score a Point in Badminton

During Week 7 in PE, we have been playing and learning techniques from badminton. In this blog, I'm going to tell you how to make a score in badminton.

How this works is that it can be played as a 1v1 or 2v2.

One of the ways you can do to score a point in badminton is simple, if the shuttlecock falls into the opponent's ground then it counts as a point to you, Another way you can do to score is if your opponent's hit goes out of the line or court counts as a point.

If you hit the shuttlecock and it fails to go over the net then it counts as the opponent's point and if you hit the shuttlecock and it goes out of the court then it's the other side's net.

There are usually three rounds in Badminton and the first team to gain 21 points is the winner and your need to win about two points if both teams are 20.
