Here are some of the examples and one of the Haiku poems I made if you still don't know what a haiku poem is:

EOTC Reflection

 EOTC Reflections

In the last three days on EOTC, we have been going in one of the best trips of the term, we have been going to Adrinarline Forest, Jellie Park, and to the city.

Adrenaline forest was one of my favourite and scariest trips I've been to, we have been climbing on high trees and short trees, each of them has levels and difficulties. At Adrenaline Forest we have also been to a nearby playground, playing, climbing and finding four-leaf clovers. There was also a basketball court, mini-golf, swings, flying fox and a funning looking web where you can climb on. What frightened me during Adrenaline forest was when I moving level by level I started to realise when I looked down I started moving higher and higher. My favourite part during Adrinarline Forest was when we climbed because It was my first time and my best experience climbing in Adrenaline Forest.

On Jellie Park was also one of my fun trips so far, there was a hydro slide, a jumping board and of course a very large pool that can probably fit around 100 kids or more. The things that challenged me during Jellie park was when I had to wait in a long line of people during the hydro slide. My favourite part during Jellie Park was the hydro slide because you get to slide there with around 1 to 7 people or less.

On City was probably by the best trip out of all the trips I've been to, we have been doing a scavenger hunt in a museum and found many interesting things on the way after the scavenger hunt we went to the library and explored around the area. My most favourite part in the city was when we went to Magaret MahyPark because their playground was massive and there was a very long slide and flying fox.

Whale Explanation Writing

 Whale Explanation Writing

This is how whales get to be so huge -- and what limits them from being even bigger - ABC News

Whales live about more than 200 years, they live around all the major oceans

from the Arctic and the Antarctic Oceans where there is enough food for

them to eat and survive. Whales can grow up to 2.7m and also

weigh more than 150,000 kg.

All fish breath underwater using their gills. Whales can’t breath underwater so

they use their nostrils called blowholes to breathe air like we do. They store a

large amount of oxygen in their bodies and muscles instead of keeping it in

their lungs.

Whales eat fish such as krill fish, their main food, zooplankton, and algae.

Whales don’t use their teeth for biting, instead, they use it for holding or

capturing fish, they eat about 40 million fish a day. Some whales such as the

humpback whale mainly eat herring and anchovies.

There are many types of whales and they are still being killed today, many

whales are dying as their populations are decreasing as we speak, whales are

suffering and being tortured by us humans.

EOTC Days(Part what I'm Excited for and Nervous about)

What I'm excited about EOTC Days

On EOTC I am looking forward to going to is Jellie Park because of the hydro slide and because it is one of my favorite trips I'm always looking forward to going.

What I'm nervous about in EOTC is when we go to the Adrenaline Forest because there will be tall sites my class will be going and I am one of the people who dislike heights.

Egg Drop (Science)

During Science, we have been making a parachute for our egg with the following materials, popsicle sticks, foams, tape, paper, egg, and plastic.

How our egg drop was a success was by adding as many foams as possible to absorb the impact of the drop.

My buddies that helped me with this are Kareem Andales and Elias Nazari.

 Business and Enterprises

JPEG Image

For the past 3 weeks, we have been involved in the B&E Kek.

My role in this has been CEO, what I did was I wrote the application letter to make sure my principal approves our Business, I was also the one who made the decisions for my group.

My company was called JKCI which also stands for Jaren Kareem Corbyn and Isaiah and our product was Brown Sugar Cookies.

My reflection on how the business went overall better than I expected, we made a few mistakes as we made our products but made a good success and had fun as we were selling them.

My reflection on the overall in business enterprises is a huge success, despite some of our group were away during business enterprises we have managed to sell almost all our products.

Here is the site to where we have made our products  Brown Sugar Cookies - Dinner, then Dessert

How Honey Was Made

How Honey was made

Introduction

Bees pollinate 3 quarters of the world, fruits and vegetable plants and making the delicious honey we enjoy

First, the bees need to find a suitable food source. When the bee finds a flower they absorb its nectar with their special tongue to digest it, it will take about more than a thousand flowers to fill in a bee’s stomach.

Following that: The bees collect the nectar inside the bee’s two stomachs as the nectar is in their stomach, the enzymes break down the nectar into simple sugar.

Finally: the bees will barf/vomit the nectar to the work as the worker vomits to the other until it reaches to the honeycomb, as the honey is in the honeycomb the bees flap its wings to the honeycomb so the liquid content decreases.

It takes time and energy to make bee honey, so enjoy it when you have it.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing

For the last two weeks in term 3, we have looked at Resilience, emotional awareness (understanding emotions) and impulse. I have come to realise that it is important to control your emotions and behaviour and stay positive

Being able to control my emotions in different situations avoids getting into a fight, getting in trouble, going into an accident.

Knowing how to react and respond in situations rather than acting on impulses means that you can be able to think more positively.

The effect that these things have on my Social Wellbeing (Taha Whanau) will have better relationships, connections with other people.

Growth Mindset

Growth Mindset
The Differences Between A Growth Mindset And A Fixed Mindset

To me growth mindset it is something when you turn the negative to the positive, here's an example:

Fixed Mindset: I have the lowest score in my test last week
Growth Mindset: I must keep practising to improve

When I am facing new challenges I give it a go and learning the mistakes I have made to improve my learning.

My example of when I had a fixed mindset:
Giving up easily
Facing the negative side
Not Willing to try

How I overcome it:
Talked to a friend or teacher
Learning the mistakes I have done
Practice

What could help you go towards a fixed mindset to a growth mindset:
Stay positive to your self
Keep Trying
Learn new things
Face something new in life

Philippines Independents Day

Philippines Independence Day        By Jaren

Magandang Umaga/Hello

Today we are going to talk about the Philippines independence Day.
Philippines Independence Day is a national holiday for the Philippines that happens every year on June 12th when they celebrate the declaration from Spain.

They eat Chicken Adobo, Spicy Beef Stew and Leche Flan. The reason why it starts on June 12th is that it was the day when they marked the independence from the Spanish rule in 1898. The activity they do in Philippine independence day is visit museums, do cultural plays and concerts.

Heres some Images on some other foods I may have not mentioned:
